I was born in Denver Colorado on March 18 1986.
I've been interested in art from the beginning; I've had the privilege of growing up around some talented artists including my Grandfather and a few of my cousins. I started drawing by copying the horses that my Grandfather would draw for me and soon developed my own style and started recreating pieces from memory. Soon after creating custom designs with nothing but a blank piece of paper and an idea.
I moved to Utah young, and kept with the art, taking art classes all throughout school and excelling in every class I took. I started winning awards for my art at contests put on by the schools I attended and a few of the pieces attracted interest at the state and national contests as well.
Once I was out of high school I started getting tattooed and fell in love with the art in it. I've been a tattoo artist for the past 6 years.
When I first thought of tattoos the only things that came to mind were the horrible prison style tattoos that I had seen on members of my family and friends. I was never very impressed, when I got my first professional tattoo my views about tattooing changed completely. The ways you can express your artistic views on the skin is so much more versatile than what you can accomplish on a flat piece of paper.
I've always been into strange mediums, from drawing murals on my walls from floor to ceiling when I was young, to drawing on friends as well as myself in high school, or anything I could find really, never really paying attention to anything or anyone else. I think that's what makes tattooing so intriguing to me is the fact that I'm given a 3d canvas on which to express my artistic outlook on things and to have someone that feels proud about wearing and showing off my art on them for the rest of their lives. There is nothing more gratifying in the world.
I look forward to owning my own shop one day and further progressing with my art, day in, day out for the rest of my life.
